Dr. Maria Leticia Solari is an oncologist and hematologist with a Ph.D. in medicine from the University of Freiburg in Germany. She is board certified in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and Argentina, with more than 15 years of experience treating solid tumors and hematological malignancies, including bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy.
Dr. Solari completed her clinical training at the University Hospital in Freiburg and previously her medical education with honors at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She worked as a Senior Haematologist and Oncologist at the Department of Haematology and Oncology in the Caritas Clinic St. Theresia in Saarbrücken, Germany, leading the outpatient clinic and ambulatory medicine section. Previously she worked as a lead resident at the University Hospital in Freiburg. In 2020, Leticia visited the Blood and Stem Cell Transplantation Department at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York as a clinical observer focused on CAR T-cell therapies. She completed her clinical clerkships at Harvard Medical School (USA) and the University of Freiburg (Germany) during medical school.
Dr. Solari is currently the head of the Americas for Oncology and Haematology Medical Services and Senior Medical Director at IQVIA, a leading global provider of biotechnological developments and clinical research services.
Leticia worked as a researcher at the University of Freiburg, where she completed her Ph.D. in acute leukemia. She published several peer-reviewed articles on a manifold of topics in clinical and basic research in hematology and oncology and has authored and co-authored conference abstracts and presentations. She co-founded the International Master Program in Biomedical Sciences between the University of Freiburg and the University of Buenos Aires. Leticia is a member of ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology), EHA (European Hematology Association) and SAH (Sociedad Argentina de Hematología).
She is fluent in English, Spanish, German, and French.
In 2021 she moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she now lives.
